Audi has introduced the new RS 5 DTM at the Geneva Motor Show.

Set to enter competition later this year, the race car has been equipped with an improved aerodynamics package that includes new mirrors, side-mounted canards and revised rear wheel arches. The car has also been equipped with a honeycomb grille and new air ducts that feed the engine and the brakes.

The changes are relatively minor but Audi Sport Head of Vehicle Design Stefan Aicher said “The DTM rules are strict, which is why minute detail work is required within the tight limitations.”

Besides the styling tweaks, engineers made undisclosed suspension modifications to the front and rear axles.

Following its debut in Geneva, the RS 5 DTM will be tested in Budapest and at the Hockenheimring before entering competition on May 4th.
