After praising some Japanese and German brands in its 2014 Car Brand Report Cards, Consumer Reports posted its 2014 worst car analysis. The list consists of a total of nine categories with at least one "winner" in each segment.

It seems Chrysler Group is having hard times lately, at least according to CR. The company has seven models nominated - the Chrysler 200, the Dodge Avenger, the Jeep Compass, the Jeep Patriot, the Jeep Cherokee with 2.4-liter engine, the Dodge Dart and the Dodge Journey.

Ford goes second with four vehicles - the Taurus sedan, the Edge SUV and the MKX and the MKS by Lincoln. Toyota and Mitsubishi have three and two vehicles respectively.
