Morgan has announced a more powerful variant of the Plus 4 will be introduced next week at the 84th Geneva Motor Show.

Since it will keep the "Plus 4" moniker it implies the vehicle will have a four-cylinder engine but specifications have not been released, although a company spokesperson did say it will be "by far the most powerful Plus 4 ever."

In its current configuration, the Morgan Plus 4 comes with a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter Ford Duratec engine outputting 145 bhp (108 kW) and a peak torque of 140 lb-ft (190 Nm). Power is sent to the wheels via a Mazda-derived five-speed manual transmission which enables the 877 kg (1933 lbs) two seater to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in 7.5 seconds before topping out at 118 mph (190 km/h).
