General Motors head of global product development Mark Reuss recently declared a Buick-badged version of the Adam "ain't a bad idea."

In an interview given to Automobile Magazine, Mark Reuss said a Buick version of the Opel Adam "ain't a bad idea" but in order to be worthy of the Buick badge it would have to be a bit more luxurious and more expensive. An American Adam won't receive the Chevrolet badge since it would collide with the Sonic.

As a reminder, General Motors CEO Dan Akerson expressed his desire last month for a Buick version not only of the Adam supermini but also of the Cascada convertible which would have to be modified for the U.S. market to become an "expensive" halo car for the brand.
