Italian coachbuilder Carrozzeria Castagna has unveiled a one-off version of the diesel-electric hybrid Peugeot 508 RXH.

The Milan-based coachbuilder decided to beautify a Peugeot 508 RXH by using a two-tone matte exterior paint combining a chestnut hue with the burgundy sides. A black chrome finish was applied on the front grille, headlights, roof rack and on the profile of the windows.

Another visible exterior change is the bigger wheel arch to accommodate the 19-inch rim taken from the RCZ coupe. Castagna mixed leather and tweed to modify the interior cabin of the 508 RXH with burgundy leather inlays and handmade Alcantara gray-green inserts in English tweed.

The mechanicals were left untouched as the vehicle comes with the same all-wheel drive powertrain combining a 2.0-liter HDi diesel engine with an electric motor for a combined output of 200 HP (147 kW) and 332 lb-ft (450 Nm). The conventional engine powers the front axle while the rear wheels are driven by the electric motor. This setup enables Peugeot's 508 RXH to have a fuel consumption of 4.2 liters / 100 km and 109 g/km of CO2 emissions.
