Volkswagen has introduced a special edition of the Amarok in the UK called "Canyon" which starts at 28,990 GBP (excluding VAT).

Scheduled to hit dealerships on April 1, the Amarok Canyon will be limited to 350 units based on the Trendline trim but with extra goodies worth 8,500 GBP. The German pick-up will boast 19-inch Cantera alloy wheels, bespoke styling bars along with a wide array of interior upgrades such as a 6-inch color touchscreen display, Bluetooth, heated leather seats, front/rear parking sensors and a privacy glass.

Other features added to the Amarok include a matte black roll cover, load area protective coating and different floor mats. The cabin is configured with a combination between Nappa and Vienna leather upholstery while the leather-wrapped steering wheel comes with orange stitching.

Power is provided exclusively by a 2.0-liter BiTDI engine delivering 180 HP (132 kW) and 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) which is enough grunt to provide the Amarok Canyon with a 3,200 kg (7,054 lbs) towing capacity. The engine is coupled to a 6-speed manual with selectable 4MOTION or an 8-speed automatic transmission with permanent 4MOTION.

Volkswagen will make only 50 units of the manual model and 300 units with the automatic transmission (priced at 30,720 GBP). All these cars will be available in one of the following three exterior paint schemes: Deep Black, Reflex Silver and Copper Orange (pictured).
