Volkswagen has officially unveiled their Super Bowl commercial. It features German engineers getting their "wings" every time a Volkswagen hits 100,000 miles.

Volkswagen has officially unveiled their Super Bowl commercial.

Dubbed "Wings," the video features a dad explaining the importance of hitting a 100,000 miles the odometer. As he tells his daughter, "It's a big deal. What if I told you every time a Volkswagen hits a 100,000 miles a German engineer gets his wings." The clip then shows engineers getting their wings, sometimes at inopportune times. Unimpressed, his daughter responds "Yeah dad and I'm sure at 200,000 miles rainbows shoot out of their butts."

According to Volkswagen of America Vice President of Marketing Vinay Shahani, “The Big Game is a unique chance for Volkswagen to entertain tens of millions of people and to show consumers why we have so much pride in the brand. We are thrilled with this year’s creative, which highlights the enthusiasm around our brand and our vehicles’ German engineering in a humorous spot that embodies the Volkswagen spirit.”
