According to a recent report, McLaren is developing a new supercar to slot between the 12C and the P1.

Tentatively dubbed the P15, the model will reportedly have a carbon fiber monocoque chassis and a mid-mounted, turbocharged engine. Additional information is limited but speculation suggests the car could use a heavily revised version of the twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 that powers the 12C.

The model is "quite a long way off" but it could cost approximately £400,000 ($661,160 / €482,230) when it is launched.

In related news, Autocar says the company will offer several variants of the P13 including a convertible and a high-performance model in the same vein as the Porsche 911 GT3.
