Looking larger and more luxurious than the XTS, the prototype has an imposing appearance thanks to a long hood and a short deck. The camouflage hides a lot of details but we can see the model will have a prominent grille, a shark fin antenna and a dual exhaust system.

Little else is known about the car but it is expected to ride on the Omega platform which underpinned the Elmiraj concept. Rear-wheel drive will be standard but all-wheel drive could be optional.

Engine options remain unconfirmed but the entry-level model could offer a turbocharged 3.6-liter V6 with approximately 420 bhp (313 kW) and 430 lb-ft (583 Nm) of torque. There could also be a brand new V8 engine, possibly displacing 4.5-liters.

Cadillac's flagship is expected to be launched in 2016 and it could wear the LTS moniker.
