According to a recent report, Volkswagen will introduce a Golf R Evo at the Beijing Motor Show.

Citing company insider, Auto Express says concept will be lightweight model that has a carbon fiber roof and carbon fiber body panels. The concept could also have lightweight wheels and a roll cage that replaces the rear seat.

Under the hood, we can expect a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces more than 300 HP (221 kW) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque. Nothing is official but the concept would likely be able to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than 4.9 seconds.

A production model is also a possibility but we'll likely learn more this April.
