After numerous spy shots, renders and patent photos, today we bring the first official images with the new 911 Targa which in terms of design mimics the classic version, with the roof design closely resembling the original 911 Targa from the 60s. From what we notice, the new roof adopts a removable section and comes with a thick B-pillar as well as a fixed rear window.

Engine lineup will likely carry over from the fixed roof version so customers will be able to choose from a 350 HP six-cylinder 3.4-liter and a 400 HP six-cylinder 3.8-liter in the Targa S version which can be seen in these official pics in the all-wheel drive 4S guise.

A full photo gallery and a press release should arrive in the next several hours.
