Holden and Pontiac were reportedly developing new versions of the Monaro and GTO but fate interviewed and neither model was produced. However, that hasn't stopped Theophilus Chin from imagining what could have happened.

Drawing inspiration from the VF Commodore, the Monaro has a conservative design that closely echoes the sedan.  Despite this, the model has been equipped with a bulging hood, ventilated front fenders and a rear diffuser that is flanked by a four-tailpipe exhaust system.

While the model will never see the light of day, engine options could have included:

  • A 3.6-liter V6 with 285 HP (210 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque
  • A 6.0-liter V8 with 367 HP (270 kW) and 530 Nm (390 lb-ft) of torque
  • A 6.2-liter V8 with 431 HP (317 kW) and 550 Nm (405 lb-ft) of torque
  • A 6.2-liter V8 with 442 HP (325 kW) and 550 Nm (405 lb-ft) of torque
  • A supercharged 6.2-liter V8 with 585 HP (430 kW) and 740 Nm (545 lb-ft) of torque
