The vehicle was wearing a Silverstone Metallic exterior paint scheme and most likely it was a test car taking into consideration the front wheels where different than the back ones.

As a reminder, the first ever M4 will share its engine with the new M3 as both will pack a newly developed inline-six 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo rated at 431 HP (317 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque. The duo will need 4.1 seconds to reach 62 mph (100 km/h) when equipped with the optional seven-speed M DCT gearbox. The versions fitted with the standard six-speed manual transmission will be 0.2s slower in the sprint.

Regardless of the selected gearbox, the 2014 M3 Sedan and M4 Coupe will have an electronically-limited top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h) which can be raised to 174 mph (280 km/h) if the optional M Driver's Package is acquired.

Both vehicles will be showcased in January at the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
