Ford has announced plans to launch 23 new vehicles in 2014. 16 of them will be destined for the United States.

Ford has announced plans to launch 23 new vehicles in 2014.

The company declined to go into specifics but confirmed 16 of the models are destined for the United States. They include the previously announced Mustang, Transit, Transit Connect and Lincoln MKC.

Ford also revealed plans to introduce a new EcoBoost engine, expand the availability of engine start/stop systems and introduce new driver assistance technologies.

According to Raj Nair, Ford's group vice president of global product development, “Next year, we are embarking on our most ambitious global launch year ever to meet customer demand for our products around the world." He added "We are investing even more through our One Ford plan to serve more customers, in more segments – and deliver profitable growth.”
