The team at Only The Best has managed to obtain some juicy details about the highly anticipated successor of the Lamborghini Gallardo.

They participated in a tour of the Aventador production line and on their way out they noticed one of the doors of the new nearby assembly line (which will produce the Gallardo replacement) was opened. They saw several undisguised cars and one of them was wearing the Verde Ithaca (green) exterior paint scheme and had glossy black alloys.

Based on what they saw, Only The Best created this render which is being described as looking "incredibly close" to the actual car. The same source indicates the vehicle won't probably receive the rumored "Cabrera" moniker after all and that it has actually entered production phase (most likely pre-production).

It will not have scissor doors and will come with grilles across the entire length of the rear window, similar to the superb Miura. The back of the car will adopt a sharp appearance which will closely mirror the Aventador.

Lamborghini has already started to tease the new model and will release preliminary details before Christmas.
