These spy photos show Seat is preparing the first ever Cupra version of the Leon ST.

Targeting the same audience as the Skoda Octavia Combi RS, Seat's upcoming Leon ST Cupra looks more youthful and attractive than its Czech cousin. It will likely share the power plant with the hatchback variant and will reportedly make use of a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbo delivering somewhere in the region of 240 – 270 HP (176 - 198 kW). There are also talks about a Cupra R version of the hatchback rated at 300 HP (220 kW).

The white Leon ST Cupra prototype seen here has received red high-performance Brembo brakes, a significantly lowered sport-tuned suspension, massive alloy wheels and a dual exhaust arrangement at the back.

Chances are the Leon Cupra will be shown in hatchback and ST versions in March 2014 at the Geneva Motor Show.
