A Suzuki Every electric van managed to provide a whopping 1,300 km range on a single charge.

The performance was achieved by a Japanese team consisting of four members, including Kenjiro Shinozuka who back in 1997 managed to become the first Japanese driver to triumph at the Dakar Rally. The team used a modified Suzuki Every which probably had a massive lithium-ion battery pack that provided enough juice for a remarkable 1,300 km (807.7 miles).

The four team members took turns behind the wheel of the EV and drove day and night on a 25 km long course on the streets of Ogata village in Japan's Akita Prefecture at speeds of around 30 km/h (18.6 mph).

They have already contacted the Guinness Book of World Records to notify them about the performance which is a lot better than the official 1,000 km (621.3 miles) record.
