Lamborghini has released the first teaser for the highly-anticipated Gallardo successor which could be called the Cabrera.

The company didn't have much to say about the model but the microsite - www.hexagonproject.com - offers visitors a chance to "Discover the roar of the new creature from Lamborghini." When users click on the push button ignition, an engine revs and provides our first official chance to hear the upcoming model.

As we have previously reported, the last Gallardo rolled off the assembly line yesterday and is slated to be replaced by an all-new model that could weigh less than 3,306 lbs (1,500 kg). Nothing is official but previous reports have indicated the car could come equipped with a naturally-aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine that produces approximately 600 bhp (447 kW). The engine will likely be connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission which could enable the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in roughly 3.2 seconds.
