An on-board video with a 2014 Chevrolet Corvette proves the Stingray has what it takes to reach 186 mph (300 km/h).

The seventh generation of the Corvette was put through its paces on the unrestricted German autobahn where it was able to climb the digital speedometer to 300 km/h (186 mph) which is very close to Chevrolet's claimed 305 km/h (190 mph) top speed.

The new Stingray is powered by a LT1 V8 6.2-liter gasoline engine rated at 455 bhp (339 kW) and 460 lb-ft (624 Nm) of torque in standard configuration or 460 bhp (343 kW) and 465 lb-ft (630 Nm) when fitted with the optional performance exhaust system. An exact 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) time has not been released by Chevrolet but they do say the 2014 Corvette can accomplish the task in less than four seconds.
