SRT has released further details about the limited-run Viper Time Attack which was introduced in the first part of the year at New York Auto Show.

With a curb weight of 3,390 lbs (1,537 kg), the TA edition comes with numerous upgrades starting out with a race-tuned suspension featuring a two-mode Bilstein DampTronic setup. SRT's engineers have retuned the shocks, springs, sway bars and they also installed a lighter X-brace made from carbon fiber.

The braking kit now features two-piece, 32mm wide Brembo high-thermal capacity rotors while the Advanced Aerodynamics Package has carbon fiber front splitters and a rear spoiler to generate more downforce at higher speeds (a 700 percent increase at 150 mph). The Viper Time Attack now sits on lightweight Sidewinder II wheels shod in Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires.

Power of the 2014 SRT Viper Time Attack is provided by the same V10 8.4-liter engine delivering 640 bhp (477 kW) and 600 lb-ft (814 Nm) of torque.

Production has already started at the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant in Detroit, with deliveries being programmed to kick off later this year. Only 159 cars will be built and 93 of them are going to wear a bespoke "TA Orange" paint. 33 units will be painted in "Venom Black" and the remaining 33 cars will feature a "Bright White" hue.
