Ferrari has taken the wraps off their new 458 Challenge Evoluzione.

Essentially an upgraded version of the 458 Challenge, the Evoluzione benefits from the "experience gathered in GT racing, in particular on the aerodynamic front."

Ferrari declined to release specifications but previously confirmed the car has been equipped with a new front splitter, improved underbody aerodynamics and a rear wing that generates additional downforce.

Little else is known about the car but it likely has a race-tuned suspension, an electronic differential and a variety of weight saving compoents. The car could also have a carryover 4.5-liter V8 engine that develops 570 HP (419 kW) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque.

The race car will go on sale shortly and will be eligible to compete in the 2014 Ferrari Challenge.
