While many automakers add hybrid tech mostly to increase fuel efficiency, Quanta's hybrid kit for the Z06 has been designed to boost the car's performances. The Quanta Corvette QHP770 still continues to be powered by the familiar 505 bhp (377 kW) LS7 engine but now it works together with a couple of YASA 750 axial flux electric motors that are built into to the rear differential.

Each electric motor generates 134 bhp (100 kW) and draws its power from a lithium-polymer battery pack which has a capacity of 11.3 kWh and is recharged during driving but it’s also possible to recharge it externally. As a result of this hardware arrangement, the car has an impressive combined output of 770 bhp (574 kW) and 2,034 Nm (1,500 lb-ft) of torque.

Gary Whiting who is the owner and chief engineer of the car estimates the hybridized Z06 can sprint to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.3 seconds and run the quarter mile in 11.3 seconds.

A market availability of this kit is being considered if there will be a strong customer demand.
