A mule of the upcoming third McLaren model has been spied showing new details compared to previous mules.

This new chassis-testing mule was caught on camera featuring what appears to be a considerably wider front wheel case and also a stretched wheelbase. We still can't say anything about its design but reports are indicating it will take some cues from the P1 and will have LED-infused "boomerang" headlights together with a ventilated hood.

The entry-level McLaren P13 will utilize the same carbon fiber monocoque as the 12C and P1 and is expected to weigh less than 3,161 lbs (1,434 kg). Motivation will be provided by a V8 3.8-liter generating around 450 bhp (335 kW) linked to a dual-clutch seven-speed gearbox. 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) should be accomplished in less than 4 seconds before topping out at 200 mph (322 km/h).

It will be fully revealed towards the end of next year, prior to a 2015 market release at a rumored starting price of 120,000 GBP (about 142,000 EUR / 193,000 USD).
