Aston Martin CC100 concept driven by Jay Leno [video]

Aston Martin gave Jay Leno the opportunity to test drive the exclusive CC100 concept.

Built to celebrate the company’s centenary, the CC100 pays homage to the 1959 DBR1 racer but with a modern twist as it packs a 565 HP (415 kW) V12 6.0-liter engine inside a carbon fiber body weighing less than 2,645 lbs (1,200 kg). Power is put to the ground via a six-speed automated manual gearbox sending the car to 62 mph (100 km/h) in approximately 4 seconds before an electronically-capped top speed of 180 mph (290 km/h).

The concept was developed and manufactured in less than six months at Aston Martin’s HQ in Gaydon, United Kingdom. At one point during the video Jay Leno says Aston Martin will sell only two of these cars, with probably a third one remaining in Aston Martin's possession.
