Set to arrive shortly, the redesigned Cherokee is a radical departure from the Liberty as rides on the Compact U.S. Wide platform and adopts a controversial design that has angered the Jeep faithful.

The entry-level model has a 2.4-liter Tigershark four-cylinder engine that develops 184 bhp (137 kW) and 171 lb-ft (231 Nm) of torque, while the optional 3.2-liter Pentastar V6 churns out 271 bhp (202 kW) and 239 lb-ft (324 Nm) of torque. Both are connected to a nine-speed automatic transmission which has been with plagued issues that have resulted in a number of delays.

The 2014 Jeep Cherokee starts at $22,995 which excludes a $995 destination charge.
