Audi UK has published pricing details for the recently facelifted A8 lineup which made its public debut last month at IAA in Frankfurt.

Slated to arrive in January next year, the UK-spec A8 has a starting price of 58,800 GBP for the base 3.0 TDI quattro SE model. Notable changes compared to its predecessor include optional Matrix LED headlights, redesigned front bumper and five fresh exterior paints. While the standard model maintains its proportions, the long wheelbase version is now 13cm longer and this stretch can be seen in the wheelbase as well.

Audi says the A8 L W12 manages to return 24.1 mpg UK (20 mpg US or 11.7 liters / 100 km) which represents a best-in-class figure thanks to the implementation of cylinder-on-demand technology that has also reduced CO2 emissions to 270 g/km.

The UK-spec A8 will be offered in three trim levels (SE, SE Executive and Sport Executive) and will be available as standard with newly designed 18-inch alloys, electromechanical power steering and full LED headlights with high-beam assist.

Optional goodies for the cabin are a Bang & Olufsen sound system, electrically-adjustable individual rear seats, ventilated front seats with massage settings, relaxation seats with powered footrests, power-assisted door closure and a continuous center console wrapped around in leather for the A8 L.

The most expensive model on sale is the 4.0 TFSI quattro which costs 79,900 GBP, but pricing for the range-topping 6.3 W12 LWB variant has not been disclosed yet.
