Opel has introduced their new Zafira Tourer 1.6 SIDI Turbo.
Described as "most powerful compact monocab" on the market, the model has a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 200 HP (147 kW) and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to a new six-speed manual transmission which enables the Zafira to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 8.9 seconds and hit a top speed of 225 km/h (140 mph). In terms of efficiency, owners can expect to average 7.0 L/100km (33.6 mpg US / 40.3 mpg UK) with CO2 emissions of 164 g/km.
On the styling front there isn't much to report but the model is distinguished by red "turbo" badging, a dual exhaust system and 17- to 19-inch alloy wheels.
The Zafira Tourer 1.6 SIDI Turbo will go up for order next month and pricing will be "highly competitive."
