According to a recent report, Mitsubishi could offer the Attrage in the United States.

Details are limited but the company's general manager of North America marketing and global small-car projects said "U.S. people might require more acceleration. So we are not sure if it has marketability or not." Ryujiro Kobashi added that "Perception is very important, even though the market is moving toward downsizing."

While Mitsubishi already offers the Mirage in the United States, the Attrage is heavier but still uses a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine that develops 74 bhp (55 kW) and 100 Nm (74 lb-ft) of torque. However, Automotive News is reporting Mitsubishi is considering a turbocharged version of the engine so that could make the Attrage competitive with the Chevrolet Spark, Nissan Versa and Toyota Yaris.
