Over the last couple of years Mercedes-Benz has developed a habit of filling in lots of niches which could go on with a three-door variant of the GLA to better tackle the three-door Range Rover Evoque. If there will be such a model, we will probably see some differences compared to the five-door body style, as seen on the two Evoques (five-door model is 30mm taller). In other words, the three-door GLA could get a more sloping roofline to create a more appealing coupe appearance at the expense of rear passenger headroom.

Mercedes-Benz will probably decide to wait and see if the five-door GLA will be a sales hit before thinking about removing its rear doors. The compact crossover will be available on order starting late November while the first cars will be delivered at the beginning of next year.
