Cadillac killed off the Escalade EXT and Hybrid awhile ago but a new report is indicating they could be revived.

Speaking at yesterday's launch of the 2015 Escalade, General Motors' executive chief engineer of global full-size and mid-size trucks said there's no reason why the two models couldn't return to the lineup. Jeff Luke stressed there was no plans to bring them back but noted the Escalade EXT was always a favorite of his even though it never a high-volume model.

Luke also said the company always leaves their options open so the Escalade Hybrid could be revived as well. However, he said the previous model's high cost effectively doomed it as potential buyers were business people who looked at the "payback" and determined the high price of the hybrid variant hasn't worth the modest fuel economy gains.
