Cadillac just unveiled the 2015 Escalade but the brand's senior vice president has confirmed the company is still considering a large crossover.

Speaking to Automotive News, Bob Ferguson said "There are a number of individuals who just love this vehicle [the Escalade] but there are others who would say 'I would love something that would give me a different ride and a different experience.'" As a result, product planners are still considering a large crossover which would offer a more car-like driving experience.

Rumors of a seven-seat crossover have been swirling for years but Ferguson said no decision has been made. Regardless, reports have indicated that a large crossover could be launched as early as 2017.
