Yesterday, the Metropolitan Police underwent an operation that resulted in 180 vehicles being seized. One of which was an uninsured Lamborghini Aventador that you can see in these pictures.

The model in question was initially stopped because it did not have a front licence plates. Further inspection also revealed the driver was not the registered owner of the car and was not covered on the insurance to drive the supercar.

The Aventador leads Lamborghini's line-up and comes with a 6.5 liter V12 engine producing 700 PS (690 bhp / 515 kW) and 690 Nm (509 lb-ft) of torque. It has a 0 to 100 km/h sprint time of 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph).

A similar case happened earlier this year with a Tron-inspired Aventador in London when 24-year-old Nasser Al-Thani from Qatar was also driving without insurance. It could result in the supercar getting crushed.

Our advice to Lambo owners in the UK, get your Aventador insured!!
