Mercedes has been relatively quiet about their V12 S-Classes but a new report is indicating we can expect them to be introduced shortly.

According to Automobile Magazine, the S65 AMG will debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show with a twin-turbo 6.0-liter V12 engine that develops 621 bhp (463 kW) and 738 lb-ft (999 Nm) of torque. It will likely enable the luxury sedan to accelerate from 0-60 mph in less than 4.5 seconds.

If that's a little too fast, the S600 is slated to be unveiled at the North American International Auto Show with a less powerful V12 engine. While the magazine says it will use a "detuned version" of the S65's engine, they cite specifications from the CL600 which has a twin-turbo 5.5-liter V12 that cranks out 510 bhp (380 kW) and 612 lb-ft (829 Nm) of torque.

Regardless of the final numbers, it sounds like the cars won't be the first models to feature the new generation of AMG-designed V12 engines.
