Bulgarian tuner Overdrive is back with a premium restoration program for a 1971 Mercedes-Benz 280SL.

After revitalizing a Jaguar XJ220 at the beginning of the year, Overdrive has returned with a fresh new program for a classic 280SL from 1971. The body has received an attractive candy apple red paint job while the interior cabin has been completely reworked but at the same time it maintains the 70s theme. They changed the dashboard, door panels, leather seats and also made other minor modifications to create a special look.

Overdrive treated and processed the wood in several stages and after application they hand-polished the surfaces to maintain the car's classic appearance. The stock radio was replaced by a retro-looking audio player with support for CD and MP3, while in the technical department they used new consumables like brake fluid, engine oil, coolant and other minor items. The windshield has also been replaced and the gearbox was tweaked to make sure changing gears is done smoothly even after more than 40 years of use.
