Development work continues on the 2015 Renault Twingo as our spies have caught the model undergoing testing in Europe.

Set to be offered exclusively as a five-door hatchback, the redesigned Twingo has a stylish exterior that is heavily influenced by the Twin-Z and Twin'Run concepts. As a result, the car has been equipped with a prominent grille, a rounded roofline and distinctive headlights.

Our spies couldn't get close enough to snap interior photos but former Renault Chief Operating Officer Carlos Tavares said the model will be geared towards male drivers and offer a variety of personalization options.

The Twingo will ride on a new rear-wheel drive platform that will be shared with the Smart ForFour. Engine options will also be shared among the models so expect an assortment of three-cylinder units and possibly an electric powertrain.
