Chevrolet has released a new video of the 2014 Corvette Stingray undergoing testing on the Nürburgring.

Released as part of a promotional campaign to build momentum ahead of the start of European sales, the clip features Chevrolet Europe technical manager Patrick Herrmann driving the car on the Nordschleife and explaining some of the model's key features.

According to vehicle dynamics engineer Jim Mero, "[The] Nürburgring is renowned for its demanding race track and it is perfectly suited for our purpose, which is to fine-tune the ride and handling characteristics of the European Corvette Stingray." He added, "We are paying particular attention to the suspension set-up and the steering at Nürburgring. European roads are quite distinct and different from those in the U.S., and so are driving habits."

As we have previously reported, the Corvette Stingray has a 6.2-liter LT1 V8 engine that produces up to 460 bhp (343 kW) and 465 lb-ft (630 Nm) of torque. It enables the coupe to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.8 seconds when equipped with the Z51 Performance Package.
