The compact crossover segment will soon get another member as Suzuki has announced its intentions for such a model at IAA with the iV-4 concept.

Set to tackle the Nissan Juke, Renault Captur and other models in this segment, the iV-4 is characterized as an "SUV for the present day" thanks to its compact dimensions: 4215mm length, 1850mm width, 1665mm height and a 2500mm wheelbase. It sits on 20-inch wheels shod in 235/55 R20 tires and wears a bespoke Brilliant Turquoise Metallic paint.

The production version is scheduled for a 2015 market release and aims to have the lowest CO2 footprint in its class. More importantly, the compact crossover will boast Suzuki's ALLGRIP four-wheel drive system but probably only on the more premium trims. The Japanese marque mentions various personalization options will be offered upon launch to entice buyers.

Following the car's launch in 2015, we should expect other crossover/SUV offerings from Suzuki.
