The Citroën Cactus production version has returned in a second batch of spy photos, prior to a scheduled 2015 market release.
It will be an affordable model from Citroën's new C-Line family and will likely be offered with small gasoline and diesel engines. The overall shape and dimensions of the spotted prototype seem similar to the Cactus concept so we expect it will measure around 4.21 meters in length, 1.75 meters in width and will be approximately 1.53 meters tall.
The preview concept will be publicly unveiled tomorrow at the Frankfurt Motor Show and will introduce a new Hybrid Air system that has a PureTech engine. It will be a follow-up to the 2007 C-Cactus concept and Citroën says will return an impressive 78.4 mpg US (94.1 mpg UK or 3 liters / 100 km). An interesting feature of the Cactus will be the "Airbumps" consisting of a supple material mounted on the car's sides which not only resists to scratches but it also has built-in air capsules to absorb impacts.
