Despite recent rumors of getting axed, the Honda Ridgeline has reached 2014MY which comes with a new Special Edition range-topping trim.
The most significant change is related to the introduction of the Special Edition trim which will be priced at 37,505 USD once it goes on sale this November. It can be distinguished by its bespoke 18-inch alloys with black-trimmed seats, along with "Special Edition" badging on the rear tailgate. It also comes with the black trim package of the Sport model that includes black headlight and brake light housings, black honeycomb grille with a black surround, as well as a black tailgate.
Other standard goodies include Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System with voice recognition, Bluetooth, rearview camera display, XM Radio, multi-information display and Zagat Survey restaurant information. The Special Edition can be had with an Alabaster Silver, Crystal Black or Taffeta White exterior paint scheme combined only with a black leather cabin.
Regardless of the chosen trim, the 2014 Honda Ridgeline is powered by a V6 3.5-liter engine delivering 250 bhp (186 kW) at 5,700 rpm and 247 lb-ft (334 Nm) of torque from 4,300 rpm. The power unit is connected to a five-speed automatic transmission sending power to a four-wheel drive system featuring variable torque management (VTM).
