Ford has revealed a posh concept based on the outgoing Mondeo which serves as a preview for future upper-spec versions of various models.
Slotting above the Titanium X in Ford's trim hierarchy, Vignale will be available starting 2015 when it will make its debut on the new Mondeo/Fusion. It will also be introduced for the S-MAX and Edge and will target the "10-15 percent of potential buyers who want an ever higher specification."
Seen here is a preview based on the soon-to-be-replaced Mondeo which has received a new upscale front bumper and a chrome grille. Ford has also chromed the door handles and mirror caps to create a more premium feel, while the 20-inch alloys have been specifically designed for this concept.
The cabin features elegant leather seats with a corresponding pattern on the doors, along with leather-wrapped center console, instrument panel and steering wheel. The Mondeo Vignale features integrated Wi-Fi and comes with a Vignale-branded storage drawer in the trunk.
