A new report indicates Mercedes-Benz plans on showing a concept of the S-Class Coupe at next month's Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany.

We've already caught the S-Class Coupe testing on numerous occasions, and now we heard Mercedes-Benz is about to introduce a preview concept at IAA in less than two weeks. A similar report emerged in June which referred to a Frankfurt Motor Show unveiling of a near-production concept. Interestingly, photographers were able to take a shot of the concept's key fob which had the "CL 217" lettering, indicating Mercedes-Benz might stick to the CL-Class moniker.

The production version is expected to be revealed in January at 2014 NAIAS in Detroit, with order books opening in the same month while first deliveries will occur in March. Engine lineup will likely be carried over from the 2014 S-Class so there will be a V6 3.0-liter twin-turbo with 333 HP (245 kW), a V8 4.7-liter rated at 455 HP (335 kW) and a twin-turbo V8 5.5-liter outputting 593 HP (436 kW).
