2014 Kia Soul pricing announced (US)

Kia has released pricing information for the second-gen U.S.-spec 2014 Soul which is scheduled to go on sale in the fourth quarter of 2013.

The Base model carries a starting price of 14,700 USD without the 795 USD destination charges and comes as standard with Hill-Start Assist Control, privacy glass, power door locks, power windows, air conditioning, disc brakes for all four wheels, Bluetooth, USB/AUX, SiriusXM and Vehicle Stability Management. Optional goodies include 16-inch alloys, center console armrest, cruise control, rear center armrest and remote keyless entry.

Soul Plus kicks off at 18,200 USD and adds 17-inch rims plus a gloss black finish with chrome bezel for the front upper grille and exterior mirrors. The client can add extra packages like Audio (1,400 USD), UVO eServices (400 USD) and Primo (3,000 USD). The ECO Package is priced at 400 USD and comes along with Idle Stop and Go, 16-inch alloys and low-rolling resistance tires.

The range-topping Soul Exclaim is priced at 20,300 and feature 18-inch wheels, LED positioning lights / taillights / high-mounted stop light, body-colored front and rear bumper tusks, rear-camera display, UVO with eServices and power folding exterior mirrors. Add the Sun and Sand Package for 2,600 USD and you also get navigation with eight-inch screen, Infiniti Audio system and automatic temperature control with cluster ionizer.

Engine choices include a 1.6-liter GDI with 130 bhp (97 kW) and 118 lb-ft (160 Nm) for the Soul Base, along with a 2.0-liter GDI rated at 164 bhp (122 kW) and 151 lb-ft (205 Nm) for the other two higher-spec trims. Base and Plus feature a standard six-speed manual or an optional six-speed auto, whereas the Exclaim is available only with the automatic ‘box.
