Mexico's BioMotion has revealed their new Alux concept for an affordable electric vehicle.

Mexico's BioMotion has revealed their new Alux concept for an affordable electric vehicle.

Designed by Oscar Eduardo Chavira Lopez, Alejandro Castañeda Sánchez, Alejandro Miranda Rosaslanda, Sebastian Dib Alberú and Victor Humberto Sánchez Rodríguez, the Alux was selected as the winning concept as part of contest that attracted more than 100 entries.

The winning proposal shows a stylish five-door hatchback with an aerodynamic exterior that draws inspiration from forests, caves, rocks and cenotes (a deep natural pit / sinkhole that is characteristic of Mexico). The resulting design incorporates a coupe-like greenhouse, bulging fenders and LED headlights. We can also see black accents, five-spoke alloy wheels and distinctive taillights which blend into the rear window.

There's no word on when or if the Alux concept will go into production, but the company appears to be considering it.
