A new batch of spy shots with the 2015 Honda Civic Type R has arrived at our office, after last week's official teaser released by Honda.

Details about the car are scarce at the moment, but Honda has promised to release more info in September during the Frankfurt Motor Show. Power is expected to come from a turbocharged, four-cylinder 2.0-liter gasoline engine which will output a minimum of 265 (198 kW). However, Honda is working hard to bump this figure to 300 bhp (224 kW).

With some technology taken from the Civic WTCC racer, the 2015 Civic Type R will try to become the quickest front-wheel drive car to lap the Nürburgring. Currently, the record is being held by the Renault Megane RS Trophy which in June 2011 lapped the famous German circuit in 8 minutes and 7.97 seconds.
