Subaru has disclosed U.S. pricing information for the 2014 WRX and WRX STI which are probably at their last model year before the next generation arrives.

Subaru is stubbornly sticking to the current-gen WRX for one last model year and this week they have released pricing data which kicks off at 25,955 USD for the WRX available at the same price for both four- and five-door versions.

Opt for the WRX STI four-door and you'll have to pay 34,495 USD, while the five-door STI model is a whopping 2,000 USD more expensive. Add to these prices a 795 USD destination fee and the WRX / WRX STI doesn't look that interesting anymore, especially with the next-gen right around the corner.

The 2014 Subaru WRX is powered by a 4-cylinder turbocharged 2.5-liter boxer engine rated at 265 bhp (198 kW) and 244 lb-ft (330 Nm) of torque working exclusively with an old five-speed manual gearbox and Subaru's Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive System. The STI version offers 305 bhp (227 kW), a six-speed manual and the Multi-Mode Driver Controlled Center Differential (DCCD) version of the aforementioned AWD system.

More details can be found in the attached press release.
