Infiniti has announced plans to unveil the Q30 Concept next month at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.

It will serve as a preview for an upcoming premium compact model which will continue the design philosophy started with the Q50 that got its inspiration from several concepts such as the Essence, Etherea and Emerg-e. As you would imagine, the Q30 will be slotted below the Q50 as a more affordable and smaller alternative set to tackle the likes of the Mercedes-Benz CLA and other models in this segment.

The Infiniti Q30 will be the first model influenced right from the start by Sebastian Vettel who has been named the company's Director of Performance. It's also the first car created under the firm's new design director Alfonso Albaisa who is describing the vehicle as being "slender, sleek and seductive."

Infiniti's entry-level model will reportedly feature a three-way adjustable ride height system and will probably be built in Sunderland, UK. It's expected to go on sale in 2015 and use Mercedes-Benz's front-wheel drive platform that underpins the A- and B-Class models.
