General Motors will reportedly introduce the 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe / Suburban and GMC Yukon / Yukon XL at the Texas State Fair which kicks off on September 27th.

Citing an undisclosed source, The Truth about Cars is reporting the full-size SUVs will celebrate their global debut at the annual event. Nothing is official, but GMC previously said the 2014 GMC Yukon / Yukon XL would be introduced within a year of September 20th, 2012 so the timing does seem to line up - more or less.

The SUVs are expected to be heavily influenced by their Silverado and Sierra counterparts, so engine options could include:

  • A 4.3-liter EcoTec3 V6 with 285 bhp (212 kW) and 305 lb-ft (413 Nm) of torque
  • A 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 with 355 bhp (265 kW) and 383 lb-ft (518 Nm) of torque
  • A 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V8 with 420 bhp (313 kW) and 450 lb-ft (609 Nm) of torque
