The Los Angeles Auto Show has announced they will host the world debuts of at least nine different models from BMW, Chevrolet, Ford, Honda, Mercedes-Benz, MINI, Porsche, Subaru and Volkswagen.

The show declined to go into specifics but hinted MINI will stage the "long-awaited global introduction" of the 2014 Cooper in Los Angeles.  Organizers also confirmed Porsche will introduce the Macan at the annual event.

The other introductions remain a mystery but the Mercedes is rumored to be the S65 AMG while the Chevrolet could be the Tahoe or US-spec Colorado.

According to the LA Auto Show General Manager Terri Toennies, "As the first major North American show of the season, Los Angeles sets the tone for 2014 and we expect that automakers will pull out all the stops to excite new-car buyers. In virtually every category, from the greenest electric vehicle to high-horsepower performance models, the technological advancements we are seeing today eclipse all previous automotive eras."
