Jaguar has decided to increase XKR-S GT production by ten to meet demand coming from UK.

When Jaguar introduced the 2014 XKR-S GT at the New York Auto Show earlier this year they said initial production would be limited to 30 units for United States and Canada. Now, ten additional cars will be built to UK specifications as demand for the track-focused yet road-legal model is strong.

The Jaguar XKR-S GT comes with a supercharged V8 5.0-liter engine delivering 550 HP (404 kW) and 501 lb-ft (680 Nm) of torque. Power is transferred to rear wheels through a six-speed automatic gearbox and a limited-slip differential. Jaguar says the car will do 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 3.9 seconds on its way to an electronically-capped top speed of 186 mph (299 km/h).

Just like the 30 initial units, the 10 UK-spec models will be sold with a Polaris White paint scheme. Deliveries will start in October to those willing to pay 135,000 GBP for a car which lapped the Nürburgring in 7 minutes and 40 seconds, making it the fastest road-legal Jaguar to tackle the famous German circuit.
