The 1.0-liter EcoBoost-powered Ford Fiesta has won the "Women's World Car of the Year" award.

To be honest, we never knew awards like "Women's World Car of the Year" and "Women's World Car of the Year Economy Car" existed but apparently these have reached their fifth edition and will be been handed to the Ford Fiesta equipped with a 1.0-liter EcoBoost.

A panel consisting of "18 female motoring writers" made this decision after taking into account "safety, value-for-money, aesthetic appearance, storage space, child-friendliness, ease-of-driving, color, sex appeal and environmental footprint."

This 125 HP (92 kW) 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine emits 99 g/km of CO2 and has already won "International Engine of the Year" in 2012 and 2013. The "Women's World Car of the Year" award will be handed in October at a special event which will be organized in London.
